 Camp
Del-Haven is a non-profit organization that has
been providing free camping to children
for over 52 years. Any child between the ages of
6 and 12 is welcome to come to camp. Because our
organization is sponsored by various individuals
and churches who are interested in the work,
there is no charge for your child
to come to camp.
The
camp program is run by a well-trained group of
volunteers who have dedicated their time and
skills toward providing a wonderful week of camp
for your child. The camp is recognized by the
state and federal government as a non-profit
Christian ministry that is run by a local board
of directors.
During
a week of camp your child can expect to
experience the great outdoors through various
activities such as: swimming (Red Cross
certified lifeguards on staff to supervise
swimming and lake activities), campfires
(marshmallows included), and other various
outdoor games and sports. Also, we provide
activities such as nature study, crafts,
singing, Bible Studies, and opportunities for
memorizing Scriptures. The children will be
staying in cabins that hold up to twelve campers
and staff.
We
do not limit who can come to the camp, as any
child is welcome. If your child has a friend or
relative who wants to come to camp, you can fill
out an additional application for them. Spaces
will be filled on a "first come, first serve"
basis. When your application is received you
will receive a confirmation letter with more
specific information. Please mail this
application as soon as possible. Our camp
sessions do fill up quickly, so you should send
in your application as soon as possible.
We
are able to supply transportation by means of a
central pick-up location in Kansas City, and
will provide pick-up and drop-off information if
needed. The camp sessions go from Monday thru
Thursday.

Camp
Del-Haven is a mission work that relies heavily
on the volunteer service of God's people, 16
years and older, who are interested in working as camp
counselors. If you have a desire to serve at
Camp Del-Haven in this capacity, it is essential
that you fully understand the level of
dedication that is necessary for our staff
members.
